KInh nghiệm làm visa
Mình đã làm visa 2 lần trong 1 năm: một của Nhật và một của Pháp. Suy nghĩ chung là của Nhật đơn giản nhẹ nhàng hơn Pháp nhiều. Một phần nữa nếu học sinh, sinh viên đăng kí visa Nhật sẽ được miễn phí. Bên Nhật không cần book lịch hẹn, xác nhận sinh viên chỉ cần photo tẻ sinh viên là xong, trong khi đó ở Pháp phải đi làm xác nhận là sinh viên.
Đúc kết lại, đặc điểm chung để đi làm visa an toàn và có kết quả tốt, thuận buồm xuôi gió:
1. Có giấy mời của công ty/ tổ chức của phía nước kia thì như một bùa hộ mệnh giúp pass qua hầu hết các câu hỏi. :3 Cơ mà mình toàn đi vì công việc nên chắc đi diện du lịch sẽ bị làm khó nhiều hơn.
2. Những thông tin như:

4. Nhằm đảm bảo an toàn, nên lấy tất cả hồ sơ được liệt kê trên website. Kể cả một số cái hơi ... vô lý một tí. Ví như cái kê khai tài sản và sao kê tài khoản ngần hàng, là sinh viên thì khoảng này ... không có. Nên mình lấy đỡ xác nhận số dư tài khoản. Ngoài ra, mọi giấy tờ photo công chứng nên để dưới format A4 và không cắt (rất ức chế mấy tiệm photo, không dặn là nó tự động cắt ngay).

Đúc kết lại, đặc điểm chung để đi làm visa an toàn và có kết quả tốt, thuận buồm xuôi gió:

Kiểm tra một file có tồn tại hay không trong C++
Quay trở lại công cuộc ngồi code và research. Hôm nay mình ngồi code một bài đơn giản: chuyển ảnh màu thành ảnh mức xám. Bài tập nhẹ nhàng nhưng cũng có một vấn đề hay ho: làm sao để kiểm tra xem một file có tồn tại hay không trong C++.

Hàm stat có nhiệm vụ fill các thông tin của file ở tham số 1 và tham số thứ 2 (có cấu trúc là struct stat) nhờ vậy ta có thể kiểm tra file có tồn tại hay không :D

Tôi viết cho tuổi 20 đã trôi qua của tôi. Viết khi mà còn kha khá thời gian nữa mới thực sự trôi qua.
Người ta từng nhắc đến khủng hoảng tuổi 18, tuổi 20, tuổi 25, tuổi 30 và hàng tá tuổi khác có thể khủng hoảng. Tôi đang khủng hoảng. Tôi đang choáng ngợp bởi những gì mình làm được, phân vân tột cùng với tương lai muôn ngàn ngả rẽ và “ngập mặt” trong hạnh phúc của tình yêu.
Tôi muốn viết thật nhiều, tôi muốn chìm đắm trong khoảnh khắc bản thân tự thưởng cho mình giây phút nhẹ nhàng trong dòng nhạc quen thuộc với những món ăn ưa thích và lon bia còn ướp lạnh.
Hai mươi năm, những buồn vui đã nếm trải, những hạnh phúc đã nếm trải. Những ngày đã qua, Robinson có còn trên đảo hoang, và Jules Verne đã đưa tôi phiêu du qua bao nhiêu chuyến đi, và những bài thơ còn nằm trong Thi Nhân Việt Nam.
Tôi xin cảm ơn những người đã đi qua đời tôi, những người tôi thương, những người tôi ghét, đứa bạn tôi muốn đá vào lưng, những người dưng đã đi qua.
Những người đã thức cùng tôi.

[Đáng suy ngẫm] Sinh viên - bạn cần gì?
Một bài viết rất hay và đáng suy ngẫm :)
Gửi các bạn sinh viên những trăn trở của một người trẻ tuổi.
Giờ này có thể bạn đang ngủ rất ngon. Tôi thì không dù đồng hồ chỉ đúng 5h sáng. Mấy nay cứ trăn trở nhiều thứ, thức khuya lắm! Nhiều khi cũng thắc mắc không biết mình có phải 25 tuổi không? Thấy mình già so với tuổi quá.
Đây không phải là một chủ đề to tát hoặc mới mẻ gì, nhưng tôi trăn trở nên chia sẻ, thế thôi!
Tôi nhớ trong một tác phẩm nào đó của nhà văn Phan Việt có đoạn: “Nếu có một thời điểm nào đó trong cuộc sống, mà chúng ta cần phải và nên bị dúi xuống bùn lầy tăm tối, tốt nhất hãy chọn lúc 18 – 25 tuổi, lúc mà bạn có cả sức khỏe lẫn sự dẻo dai, cả hưng phấn lẫn thất vọng, cả niềm tin sắt đá lẫn sự ngoan cố mù quáng, cả sự hiểu biết bằng bản năng và trực giác chưa bị pha tạp lẫn sự tăm tối vì mơ hồ nhận thấy những lực cản của xã hội. Nghĩa là có tất cả mà lại chẳng có gì vững chắc”. Tôi hoàn toàn đồng ý với suy nghĩ của tác giả. Tôi đặt tên cho khoảng thời gian ấy là Tuổi Trẻ. Chẳng phải dưới 18 hoặc trên 25 thì không trẻ nữa, nhưng tôi thấy 8 năm ấy mới thật sự là đẹp nhất của giai đoạn tuổi trẻ. Ở cái tuổi ôm trọn thời sinh viên này, lẽ ra các bạn phải dấn thân thật nhiều, trằn trọc, suy tư thật nhiều về cuộc đời, về xã hội, về dân tộc,… thậm chí mất ăn mất ngủ, thao thức đêm dài.
Có quá nhiều câu chuyện kể về những con người sinh ra trong hoàn cảnh nghèo khó, cùng cực để rồi họ có động lực vươn lên thành công. Tôi từng đọc và cả tiếp xúc với những con người ấy và tôi nghĩ: “Nếu ở trong hoàn cảnh đó, mình cũng sẽ có động lực vươn lên như họ thôi”. Hoặc cũng không thiếu những câu chuyện về những người thành công được sinh ra trong một nền tảng gia đình rất tốt, ba mẹ đều thành công và họ ý thức được tầm quan trọng của việc đầu tư vào giáo dục cho con cái. Tôi cũng biết và tiếp xúc với nhiều người thuộc nhóm này, rồi tôi cũng từng nghĩ: “Gia đình họ có điều kiện và nền tảng như vậy, việc họ thành công không có gì đáng ngạc nhiên cả”. Nếu bạn cũng có những suy nghĩ giống như tôi cho hai trường hợp trên, thì tôi chia sẻ rằng đó chỉ là sự biện hộ thôi. Cả hai nhóm người trên đều đáng ngưỡng mộ và trân trọng bởi họ đã nỗ lực vươn lên trong cuộc sống. Tôi thì thuộc nhóm người ở giữa và tôi nghĩ mình giống đa số các bạn. Nói một cách văn vẻ đây là nhóm người mắc kẹt ở mức trung bình về nhiều mặt. Gia đình tôi không giàu, nhưng cũng không quá nghèo (tuy là hơi nghèo vào cái thời đất nước còn khó khăn, gia đình nào cũng vậy thôi). Tôi học không xuất sắc, nhưng cũng không dở. Tôi không tự ti, nhưng cũng chẳng tự tin về mình lắm. Tôi không có nhiều mối quan hệ trong cuộc sống, nhưng cũng có không ít bạn bè,… Tôi nói như vậy chỉ để muốn chia sẻ với bạn rằng ai cũng có thể vươn lên cho dù xuất thân trong hoàn cảnh gia đình như thế nào, thành tích học tập ra sao, thông mình vừa vừa, thông minh kiệt xuất, hay ngu si đần độn,… Chỉ cần một tư duy đúng đắn, nuôi dưỡng khát vọng lớn và dám dấn thân lăn xả từng việc nhỏ bằng tất cả trách nhiệm của mình. Ai cũng có thể vươn lên!
Cứ mỗi lần tiếp xúc với các bạn sinh viên là tôi lại đau đáu trong lòng. Những câu hỏi các bạn đặt ra cho tôi nhiều khi khiến tôi phát bực nhưng phải làm chủ cảm xúc để giữ thái độ bình tĩnh. Hoặc cũng không ít lần khi nghe hỏi xong, tôi chỉ biết cười trừ vì thật sự không biết phải trả lời sao cho thỏa đáng nữa. Tôi xót xa không biết tại sao những câu hỏi ấy lại được nêu lên dù biết là không nên vùi dập từ trong trứng nước, cần khuyến khích dám đặt câu hỏi khi có thắc mắc vì đó là cách rất hay để học hỏi. Nhưng thông qua những câu hỏi ấy, tôi thấy một thực trạng tư duy kém cỏi, thiển cận và bị động đang ăn sâu vào trong nhiều bạn sinh viên.
Trong một lần tọa đàm thân mật với khoảng 20 bạn sinh viên đến từ nhiều trường đại học khác nhau, có một bạn sinh viên năm cuối khối ngành kinh tế hỏi tôi rằng: “Anh ơi, trong 4 năm học đại học, em không tham gia hoạt động hoặc đi làm thêm gì hết, vậy thì bây giờ em điền cái gì vào CV để xin việc đây anh?”. Khi tôi hỏi ngược lại những người tham dự hôm ấy là ai cũng ở trong tình trạng giống vậy, thì quá ngạc nhiên là khoảng 60% cánh tay giơ lên. Trời ơi! Tôi chỉ muốn hét thật to với nhóm bạn trẻ đó (may là tôi giữ được sự bình tĩnh để từ tốn chia sẻ): “Các em ơi, sao các em đi tìm một thứ mà chắn chắn là không có trên đời này vậy? Các em muốn thành công mà không phải trả giá? Các em muốn học giỏi mà không có những đêm thức trắng vùi đầu vào đèn sách sao? Làm gì có cái thứ đó trên đời này”. Tôi đang nói đến một tư duy vô cùng nguy hiểm ở các bạn sinh viên, tư duy mì ăn liền. Cái gì cũng muốn có ngay kết quả mà không phải bỏ công sức. Cái gì cũng muốn người ta mang đến dâng cho mình, ngồi rung đùi mà hưởng trái ngọt.
Khi huấn luyện một khóa học với chủ đề “Sẵn sàng cho sự nghiệp”, tôi ngạc nhiên khi thấy có khá nhiều bạn sinh viên mong muốn bước vô khóa học để được nghe về cách trả lời phỏng vấn, cách viết CV sao cho hay, cách làm sao để thi đậu vào chương trình MT (Management Trainee – đây là một cuộc thi nhằm tìm kiếm những tài năng trẻ của các tập đoàn đa quốc gia rất được giới sinh viên quan tâm). Nói chung là các bạn cần những cái có thể xài được liền, tạo kết quả ngay tức thì. Thực dụng không có gì là xấu cả, tuy nhiên nó chỉ phát huy hiệu quả khi bạn có một nền tảng nhận thức vững chắc về sự nghiệp, về tư duy lãnh đạo, về phong cách làm việc, về văn hóa ứng xử nơi công sở,... Hay nói một cách khác là nội lực của bạn có mạnh thì kỹ năng mới phát huy tác dụng. Khi hỏi thăm thì tôi biết được các bạn rất ít tham gia vào những hoạt động xã hội, các câu lạc bộ đội nhóm và nỗ lực vươn lên nhiều vai trò lãnh đạo khác nhau. Vậy mà ai cũng muốn thi đậu vào MT? Tôi giả sử các bạn may mắn trả lời phỏng vấn tốt để vào được chương trình này, thì liệu bạn có “sống” và tỏa sáng được trong đó hay không là điều bạn cần suy nghĩ. Tôi rất tâm đắc với cách nhìn nhận của Chuyên gia giáo dục Giản Tư Trung rằng “Ta là sản phẩm của chính mình”, vậy thì cái sản phẩm BẠN ngày hôm nay có cạnh tranh được với những “đối thủ” khác về tư duy, nhận thức, thái độ, kiến thức, kỹ năng,… hay không? Đối với đồ ăn thì người ta cũng ráng suy nghĩ cho ra những phương cách “mì ăn liền” để đáp ứng với đỏi hỏi ngày càng gắt gao và cạnh tranh của xã hội, nhưng với thành công thì làm sao có thể như vậy được?
Tư duy thứ hai là tư duy đòi hỏi. Các bạn đòi hỏi nhiều quá, nhiều hơn những gì các bạn bỏ ra. Các bạn sinh viên đa số đều rất tự tin về kiến thức của mình, đó là con dao hai lưỡi. Tự tin là tốt, nhưng tự tin bao nhiêu thì cần phải nỗ lực chui rèn bản thân không ngừng. Các bạn đang dán cái mác “ĐẠI học” quá lớn vào mình để kết luận rằng kiến thức đã đủ cho công việc và mình có quyền đòi hỏi công ty phải trả mức lương tương xứng với 4 năm dùi mãi kinh sử trên ghế nhà trường. Có nhiều bạn khi tôi hỏi về công việc bạn mong muốn sau khi ra trường, bạn mô tả muốn làm việc cho các tập đoàn đa quốc gia với thu nhập ít nhất là 800 USD/tháng. Tôi hỏi tiếp: “Vậy em có cái gì để người ta phải trả em 800 USD/tháng?”. Bạn… cứng họng!
Các bạn ơi, mơ lớn là tốt. Bạn muốn mức lương bao nhiêu cũng được, không những 800 USD/tháng, mà thậm chí 8000 hay 80.000 USD cũng được. Nhưng, bạn cần phải trả lời câu hỏi là bạn có cái gì để người ta phải trả cho bạn mức lương đó? Bạn có nghĩ công việc photocopy cũng có thể làm xuất sắc hơn bình thường được hay không? Bạn phải thay thế tư duy đòi hỏi bằng một tinh thần cống hiến hăng say, không ngại việc, không chê việc, làm với tất trách nhiệm và chuẩn mực cao nhất để đổi lại kinh nghiệm và sự tín nhiệm. Chứng minh cho họ thấy đi đã, khoan đòi hỏi, rồi bạn sẽ được trả công xứng đáng sau này.
Ngoài ra, các bạn chỉ muốn nhận mà không muốn trả giá. Từ “giá” ở đây tôi muốn nói ở cả nghĩa bóng lẫn nghĩa đen. Tôi diễn thuyết cho sinh viên khá nhiều, cái gì miễn phí thì bạn đến đông lắm. Nhưng cái gì cần một khoản đầu tư để học hỏi sâu hơn thì hình như với bạn nhiêu đó “hàng” miễn phí là đủ rồi. Bạn chê mắc, bạn tiếc tiền, bạn thấy không cần thiết. Rồi thì sau này cái giá mà bạn thật sự sẽ trả còn đắt hơn nhiều. Bạn tiếc tiền đầu tư vào bản thân thì xem như bạn cũng tiếc thành công.
Cuối cùng, điều khiến tôi trăn trở nhiều nhất ở các bạn sinh viên là các bạn không có một khát vọng lớn. Cách đây hai tuần, tôi kết hợp với một tổ chức nhân sự uy tín để tổ chức một khóa huấn luyện dành cho những sinh viên đã qua chọn lọc, nhằm mục đích trang bị cho các bạn cách tư duy của một nhà lãnh đạo tương lai. Khóa huấn luyện kết thúc rồi nhưng dư âm của nó khiến tôi trằn trọc mãi. Tôi băn khoăn, lo ngại về Tuổi Trẻ hiện nay, lứa tuổi mà tôi cũng thuộc về. Rồi Việt Nam chúng ta sẽ ra sao khi mà những con người chủ nhân tương lai của đất nước lại có những suy nghĩ và biểu hiện như vậy? Trách ai bây giờ đây? Tôi không dám vơ đũa cả nắm, bởi tôi tin rằng vẫn có rất nhiều bạn trẻ đang từng ngày nỗ lực vươn lên với những khát vọng lớn lao, phục vụ trước hết cho đất nước, sau đó mới đến bản thân mình. Nhưng tôi muốn dấy lên một thực trạng đáng báo động ngày nay ở một số lượng lớn các bạn sinh viên: các bạn suy nghĩ nhỏ quá. Đó là chỉ mong làm sao có đủ tiền sống mỗi ngày; làm sao có thể thi đậu tốt nghiệp tốt nghiệp nếu không sẽ bị ba mẹ la; làm sao để có thể tìm được một công việc ổn định sau khi ra trường; làm sao có thể tự lo được cho bản thân sau khi tốt nghiệp,... Tôi cũng từng như vậy, y chang các bạn thôi. Nhưng bạn ơi, bạn cần biết rằng điều đáng sợ nhất của một đất nước không phải là nghèo nàn về tài nguyên khoáng sản; không phải là đất nhỏ ít dân; mà điều đáng sợ nhất là đất nước ấy chỉ tập hợp những con người không dám khát vọng lớn, không dám ước mơ lớn. Ai cũng muốn nước mình giàu mạnh, ai cũng muốn Việt Nam có thể vươn ra tầm châu lục, thậm chí là sân chơi toàn cầu; nhưng ai cũng suy nghĩ nhỏ nhặt, ai cũng chỉ nghĩ cho riêng cho bản thân mình thôi thì làm sao có thể cùng nắm tay nhau đi lên được đây? Bạn có thể trông chờ điều gì trong khi mỗi ngày mình chỉ biết la cà những quán café, quán nhậu, những thú vui cho quên đời quên sầu, giết thời gian. Tôi thật sự lo, lo lắm các bạn ạ!
Than vãn rồi cũng thế thôi, bây giờ cần phải làm gì đây? Câu hỏi này quả là rất rộng và quá khó với tôi. Nhưng nếu chỉ được chọn một điều duy nhất để chia sẻ với sinh viên, trong giới hạn kinh nghiệm và hiểu biết của mình, tôi muốn nói rằng các bạn cần phải CHỦ ĐỘNG. Các bạn còn bị động quá, điển hình là mỗi khi tọa đàm (tức là một dạng hỏi đáp chia sẻ kinh nghiệm), tôi hỏi là có ai có câu hỏi gì không thì chỉ một sự im lặng đáng sợ xuất hiện. Tôi hỏi tại sao thì các bạn nói rằng đến đây để được nghe anh chia sẻ gì đó. Các bạn ơi, cần phải thay đổi tư duy ngay đi, CHỦ ĐỘNG lên. Đừng ngồi đó mà mong người ta đem thành công đến với bạn. Đừng chỉ biết nộp đơn rồi cầu mong nhà tuyển dụng gọi điện và mời bạn ký hợp đồng. Đừng mỗi ngày chỉ có đến trường rồi quay về nhà mà mong mình sẽ tỏa sáng trong sự nghiệp sau này. Đừng kêu than oán trách việc giáo dục đại học thế này thế kia, thiếu thực tiễn, toàn lý thuyết,… Ai cũng có công việc và trách nhiệm của họ thôi. Nhiệm vụ của bạn là học và hãy biết nỗ lực học một cách chủ động. Nó xuất phát từ ý thức “Ta là sản phẩm của chính mình” để chuyển vai trò đầy tớ sang vai trò ông chủ của quá trình học. Chính bạn mới là người đề ra những cái mình cần học dưới sự hướng dẫn của thầy cô hoặc những người trước, rồi nỗ lực học tập bằng phương pháp học sáng tạo. Sự học cũng cần mở rộng cách nhìn nhận. Không phải cứ phải có cái bàn, cái ghế, quyển vở, cây bút thì mới gọi là học. Học ở bất kì đâu, học từ bất kì ai. Chỉ cần một cái đầu rộng mở, chịu khó quan sát, trao đổi, đánh giá, phân tích, thắc mắc là được. Thay đổi cả hệ thống thì khó, nhưng thay đổi bắt đầu từ chính bản thân mình thì ai cũng làm được, chỉ là bạn có muốn hay không thôi?

Gửi các bạn sinh viên những trăn trở của một người trẻ tuổi.
Giờ này có thể bạn đang ngủ rất ngon. Tôi thì không dù đồng hồ chỉ đúng 5h sáng. Mấy nay cứ trăn trở nhiều thứ, thức khuya lắm! Nhiều khi cũng thắc mắc không biết mình có phải 25 tuổi không? Thấy mình già so với tuổi quá.
Đây không phải là một chủ đề to tát hoặc mới mẻ gì, nhưng tôi trăn trở nên chia sẻ, thế thôi!
Tôi nhớ trong một tác phẩm nào đó của nhà văn Phan Việt có đoạn: “Nếu có một thời điểm nào đó trong cuộc sống, mà chúng ta cần phải và nên bị dúi xuống bùn lầy tăm tối, tốt nhất hãy chọn lúc 18 – 25 tuổi, lúc mà bạn có cả sức khỏe lẫn sự dẻo dai, cả hưng phấn lẫn thất vọng, cả niềm tin sắt đá lẫn sự ngoan cố mù quáng, cả sự hiểu biết bằng bản năng và trực giác chưa bị pha tạp lẫn sự tăm tối vì mơ hồ nhận thấy những lực cản của xã hội. Nghĩa là có tất cả mà lại chẳng có gì vững chắc”. Tôi hoàn toàn đồng ý với suy nghĩ của tác giả. Tôi đặt tên cho khoảng thời gian ấy là Tuổi Trẻ. Chẳng phải dưới 18 hoặc trên 25 thì không trẻ nữa, nhưng tôi thấy 8 năm ấy mới thật sự là đẹp nhất của giai đoạn tuổi trẻ. Ở cái tuổi ôm trọn thời sinh viên này, lẽ ra các bạn phải dấn thân thật nhiều, trằn trọc, suy tư thật nhiều về cuộc đời, về xã hội, về dân tộc,… thậm chí mất ăn mất ngủ, thao thức đêm dài.
Có quá nhiều câu chuyện kể về những con người sinh ra trong hoàn cảnh nghèo khó, cùng cực để rồi họ có động lực vươn lên thành công. Tôi từng đọc và cả tiếp xúc với những con người ấy và tôi nghĩ: “Nếu ở trong hoàn cảnh đó, mình cũng sẽ có động lực vươn lên như họ thôi”. Hoặc cũng không thiếu những câu chuyện về những người thành công được sinh ra trong một nền tảng gia đình rất tốt, ba mẹ đều thành công và họ ý thức được tầm quan trọng của việc đầu tư vào giáo dục cho con cái. Tôi cũng biết và tiếp xúc với nhiều người thuộc nhóm này, rồi tôi cũng từng nghĩ: “Gia đình họ có điều kiện và nền tảng như vậy, việc họ thành công không có gì đáng ngạc nhiên cả”. Nếu bạn cũng có những suy nghĩ giống như tôi cho hai trường hợp trên, thì tôi chia sẻ rằng đó chỉ là sự biện hộ thôi. Cả hai nhóm người trên đều đáng ngưỡng mộ và trân trọng bởi họ đã nỗ lực vươn lên trong cuộc sống. Tôi thì thuộc nhóm người ở giữa và tôi nghĩ mình giống đa số các bạn. Nói một cách văn vẻ đây là nhóm người mắc kẹt ở mức trung bình về nhiều mặt. Gia đình tôi không giàu, nhưng cũng không quá nghèo (tuy là hơi nghèo vào cái thời đất nước còn khó khăn, gia đình nào cũng vậy thôi). Tôi học không xuất sắc, nhưng cũng không dở. Tôi không tự ti, nhưng cũng chẳng tự tin về mình lắm. Tôi không có nhiều mối quan hệ trong cuộc sống, nhưng cũng có không ít bạn bè,… Tôi nói như vậy chỉ để muốn chia sẻ với bạn rằng ai cũng có thể vươn lên cho dù xuất thân trong hoàn cảnh gia đình như thế nào, thành tích học tập ra sao, thông mình vừa vừa, thông minh kiệt xuất, hay ngu si đần độn,… Chỉ cần một tư duy đúng đắn, nuôi dưỡng khát vọng lớn và dám dấn thân lăn xả từng việc nhỏ bằng tất cả trách nhiệm của mình. Ai cũng có thể vươn lên!
Cứ mỗi lần tiếp xúc với các bạn sinh viên là tôi lại đau đáu trong lòng. Những câu hỏi các bạn đặt ra cho tôi nhiều khi khiến tôi phát bực nhưng phải làm chủ cảm xúc để giữ thái độ bình tĩnh. Hoặc cũng không ít lần khi nghe hỏi xong, tôi chỉ biết cười trừ vì thật sự không biết phải trả lời sao cho thỏa đáng nữa. Tôi xót xa không biết tại sao những câu hỏi ấy lại được nêu lên dù biết là không nên vùi dập từ trong trứng nước, cần khuyến khích dám đặt câu hỏi khi có thắc mắc vì đó là cách rất hay để học hỏi. Nhưng thông qua những câu hỏi ấy, tôi thấy một thực trạng tư duy kém cỏi, thiển cận và bị động đang ăn sâu vào trong nhiều bạn sinh viên.
Trong một lần tọa đàm thân mật với khoảng 20 bạn sinh viên đến từ nhiều trường đại học khác nhau, có một bạn sinh viên năm cuối khối ngành kinh tế hỏi tôi rằng: “Anh ơi, trong 4 năm học đại học, em không tham gia hoạt động hoặc đi làm thêm gì hết, vậy thì bây giờ em điền cái gì vào CV để xin việc đây anh?”. Khi tôi hỏi ngược lại những người tham dự hôm ấy là ai cũng ở trong tình trạng giống vậy, thì quá ngạc nhiên là khoảng 60% cánh tay giơ lên. Trời ơi! Tôi chỉ muốn hét thật to với nhóm bạn trẻ đó (may là tôi giữ được sự bình tĩnh để từ tốn chia sẻ): “Các em ơi, sao các em đi tìm một thứ mà chắn chắn là không có trên đời này vậy? Các em muốn thành công mà không phải trả giá? Các em muốn học giỏi mà không có những đêm thức trắng vùi đầu vào đèn sách sao? Làm gì có cái thứ đó trên đời này”. Tôi đang nói đến một tư duy vô cùng nguy hiểm ở các bạn sinh viên, tư duy mì ăn liền. Cái gì cũng muốn có ngay kết quả mà không phải bỏ công sức. Cái gì cũng muốn người ta mang đến dâng cho mình, ngồi rung đùi mà hưởng trái ngọt.
Khi huấn luyện một khóa học với chủ đề “Sẵn sàng cho sự nghiệp”, tôi ngạc nhiên khi thấy có khá nhiều bạn sinh viên mong muốn bước vô khóa học để được nghe về cách trả lời phỏng vấn, cách viết CV sao cho hay, cách làm sao để thi đậu vào chương trình MT (Management Trainee – đây là một cuộc thi nhằm tìm kiếm những tài năng trẻ của các tập đoàn đa quốc gia rất được giới sinh viên quan tâm). Nói chung là các bạn cần những cái có thể xài được liền, tạo kết quả ngay tức thì. Thực dụng không có gì là xấu cả, tuy nhiên nó chỉ phát huy hiệu quả khi bạn có một nền tảng nhận thức vững chắc về sự nghiệp, về tư duy lãnh đạo, về phong cách làm việc, về văn hóa ứng xử nơi công sở,... Hay nói một cách khác là nội lực của bạn có mạnh thì kỹ năng mới phát huy tác dụng. Khi hỏi thăm thì tôi biết được các bạn rất ít tham gia vào những hoạt động xã hội, các câu lạc bộ đội nhóm và nỗ lực vươn lên nhiều vai trò lãnh đạo khác nhau. Vậy mà ai cũng muốn thi đậu vào MT? Tôi giả sử các bạn may mắn trả lời phỏng vấn tốt để vào được chương trình này, thì liệu bạn có “sống” và tỏa sáng được trong đó hay không là điều bạn cần suy nghĩ. Tôi rất tâm đắc với cách nhìn nhận của Chuyên gia giáo dục Giản Tư Trung rằng “Ta là sản phẩm của chính mình”, vậy thì cái sản phẩm BẠN ngày hôm nay có cạnh tranh được với những “đối thủ” khác về tư duy, nhận thức, thái độ, kiến thức, kỹ năng,… hay không? Đối với đồ ăn thì người ta cũng ráng suy nghĩ cho ra những phương cách “mì ăn liền” để đáp ứng với đỏi hỏi ngày càng gắt gao và cạnh tranh của xã hội, nhưng với thành công thì làm sao có thể như vậy được?
Tư duy thứ hai là tư duy đòi hỏi. Các bạn đòi hỏi nhiều quá, nhiều hơn những gì các bạn bỏ ra. Các bạn sinh viên đa số đều rất tự tin về kiến thức của mình, đó là con dao hai lưỡi. Tự tin là tốt, nhưng tự tin bao nhiêu thì cần phải nỗ lực chui rèn bản thân không ngừng. Các bạn đang dán cái mác “ĐẠI học” quá lớn vào mình để kết luận rằng kiến thức đã đủ cho công việc và mình có quyền đòi hỏi công ty phải trả mức lương tương xứng với 4 năm dùi mãi kinh sử trên ghế nhà trường. Có nhiều bạn khi tôi hỏi về công việc bạn mong muốn sau khi ra trường, bạn mô tả muốn làm việc cho các tập đoàn đa quốc gia với thu nhập ít nhất là 800 USD/tháng. Tôi hỏi tiếp: “Vậy em có cái gì để người ta phải trả em 800 USD/tháng?”. Bạn… cứng họng!
Các bạn ơi, mơ lớn là tốt. Bạn muốn mức lương bao nhiêu cũng được, không những 800 USD/tháng, mà thậm chí 8000 hay 80.000 USD cũng được. Nhưng, bạn cần phải trả lời câu hỏi là bạn có cái gì để người ta phải trả cho bạn mức lương đó? Bạn có nghĩ công việc photocopy cũng có thể làm xuất sắc hơn bình thường được hay không? Bạn phải thay thế tư duy đòi hỏi bằng một tinh thần cống hiến hăng say, không ngại việc, không chê việc, làm với tất trách nhiệm và chuẩn mực cao nhất để đổi lại kinh nghiệm và sự tín nhiệm. Chứng minh cho họ thấy đi đã, khoan đòi hỏi, rồi bạn sẽ được trả công xứng đáng sau này.
Ngoài ra, các bạn chỉ muốn nhận mà không muốn trả giá. Từ “giá” ở đây tôi muốn nói ở cả nghĩa bóng lẫn nghĩa đen. Tôi diễn thuyết cho sinh viên khá nhiều, cái gì miễn phí thì bạn đến đông lắm. Nhưng cái gì cần một khoản đầu tư để học hỏi sâu hơn thì hình như với bạn nhiêu đó “hàng” miễn phí là đủ rồi. Bạn chê mắc, bạn tiếc tiền, bạn thấy không cần thiết. Rồi thì sau này cái giá mà bạn thật sự sẽ trả còn đắt hơn nhiều. Bạn tiếc tiền đầu tư vào bản thân thì xem như bạn cũng tiếc thành công.
Cuối cùng, điều khiến tôi trăn trở nhiều nhất ở các bạn sinh viên là các bạn không có một khát vọng lớn. Cách đây hai tuần, tôi kết hợp với một tổ chức nhân sự uy tín để tổ chức một khóa huấn luyện dành cho những sinh viên đã qua chọn lọc, nhằm mục đích trang bị cho các bạn cách tư duy của một nhà lãnh đạo tương lai. Khóa huấn luyện kết thúc rồi nhưng dư âm của nó khiến tôi trằn trọc mãi. Tôi băn khoăn, lo ngại về Tuổi Trẻ hiện nay, lứa tuổi mà tôi cũng thuộc về. Rồi Việt Nam chúng ta sẽ ra sao khi mà những con người chủ nhân tương lai của đất nước lại có những suy nghĩ và biểu hiện như vậy? Trách ai bây giờ đây? Tôi không dám vơ đũa cả nắm, bởi tôi tin rằng vẫn có rất nhiều bạn trẻ đang từng ngày nỗ lực vươn lên với những khát vọng lớn lao, phục vụ trước hết cho đất nước, sau đó mới đến bản thân mình. Nhưng tôi muốn dấy lên một thực trạng đáng báo động ngày nay ở một số lượng lớn các bạn sinh viên: các bạn suy nghĩ nhỏ quá. Đó là chỉ mong làm sao có đủ tiền sống mỗi ngày; làm sao có thể thi đậu tốt nghiệp tốt nghiệp nếu không sẽ bị ba mẹ la; làm sao để có thể tìm được một công việc ổn định sau khi ra trường; làm sao có thể tự lo được cho bản thân sau khi tốt nghiệp,... Tôi cũng từng như vậy, y chang các bạn thôi. Nhưng bạn ơi, bạn cần biết rằng điều đáng sợ nhất của một đất nước không phải là nghèo nàn về tài nguyên khoáng sản; không phải là đất nhỏ ít dân; mà điều đáng sợ nhất là đất nước ấy chỉ tập hợp những con người không dám khát vọng lớn, không dám ước mơ lớn. Ai cũng muốn nước mình giàu mạnh, ai cũng muốn Việt Nam có thể vươn ra tầm châu lục, thậm chí là sân chơi toàn cầu; nhưng ai cũng suy nghĩ nhỏ nhặt, ai cũng chỉ nghĩ cho riêng cho bản thân mình thôi thì làm sao có thể cùng nắm tay nhau đi lên được đây? Bạn có thể trông chờ điều gì trong khi mỗi ngày mình chỉ biết la cà những quán café, quán nhậu, những thú vui cho quên đời quên sầu, giết thời gian. Tôi thật sự lo, lo lắm các bạn ạ!
Than vãn rồi cũng thế thôi, bây giờ cần phải làm gì đây? Câu hỏi này quả là rất rộng và quá khó với tôi. Nhưng nếu chỉ được chọn một điều duy nhất để chia sẻ với sinh viên, trong giới hạn kinh nghiệm và hiểu biết của mình, tôi muốn nói rằng các bạn cần phải CHỦ ĐỘNG. Các bạn còn bị động quá, điển hình là mỗi khi tọa đàm (tức là một dạng hỏi đáp chia sẻ kinh nghiệm), tôi hỏi là có ai có câu hỏi gì không thì chỉ một sự im lặng đáng sợ xuất hiện. Tôi hỏi tại sao thì các bạn nói rằng đến đây để được nghe anh chia sẻ gì đó. Các bạn ơi, cần phải thay đổi tư duy ngay đi, CHỦ ĐỘNG lên. Đừng ngồi đó mà mong người ta đem thành công đến với bạn. Đừng chỉ biết nộp đơn rồi cầu mong nhà tuyển dụng gọi điện và mời bạn ký hợp đồng. Đừng mỗi ngày chỉ có đến trường rồi quay về nhà mà mong mình sẽ tỏa sáng trong sự nghiệp sau này. Đừng kêu than oán trách việc giáo dục đại học thế này thế kia, thiếu thực tiễn, toàn lý thuyết,… Ai cũng có công việc và trách nhiệm của họ thôi. Nhiệm vụ của bạn là học và hãy biết nỗ lực học một cách chủ động. Nó xuất phát từ ý thức “Ta là sản phẩm của chính mình” để chuyển vai trò đầy tớ sang vai trò ông chủ của quá trình học. Chính bạn mới là người đề ra những cái mình cần học dưới sự hướng dẫn của thầy cô hoặc những người trước, rồi nỗ lực học tập bằng phương pháp học sáng tạo. Sự học cũng cần mở rộng cách nhìn nhận. Không phải cứ phải có cái bàn, cái ghế, quyển vở, cây bút thì mới gọi là học. Học ở bất kì đâu, học từ bất kì ai. Chỉ cần một cái đầu rộng mở, chịu khó quan sát, trao đổi, đánh giá, phân tích, thắc mắc là được. Thay đổi cả hệ thống thì khó, nhưng thay đổi bắt đầu từ chính bản thân mình thì ai cũng làm được, chỉ là bạn có muốn hay không thôi?

Scholarship awards will be tenable for four years from April, 2015 to March, 2019 including one-year preparatory education in the Japanese language and other subjects due to be provided upon arrival in Japan. University of Queensland is offering scholarships for Vietnamese students on the basis of academic excellence and extra-curricular activities. Previous study of economics or work experience is not required. These scholarships are available for students seeking admission into either an undergraduate or coursework masters program in economics. Application should be submitted till 31st October 2014.

Special Programme for Research and Training in Tropical Diseases (TDR) is offering Advanced Postdoctoral Research and Training Grants. Applicants of low- and middle-income countries are eligible for these grants. Grants will be awarded for two years. The deadline for applications is 7 February 2014.
Setsutaro Kobayashi Memorial Fund Research Grants
Applications are invited for research grants in the field of Humanities (Cultural Science) or Social Sciences. Maximum 1,200,000 yen per grantee will be available to approximately 32 grantees and the duration of the grant shall be for one year from the date of the grant. Students or researchers who are recommended by their supervising professors or mentors are eligible for these grants. Application deadline is February 28, 2014.
Wellcome Trust International Engagement Awards
Wellcome Trust is offering awards for research applicants for 2014 intake. The scholarships will provide up to £30,000 for three years. Applicants must be or collaborating with a researcher, research group or institution to provide expertise in the area of biomedical science you are exploring. Applications should be submitted till 18th April 2014.
CAS-TWAS President’s Postgraduate Fellowship Programme
Fellowships are available for PhD study and research at the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS), the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) or Institutes of CAS around China. Applicants must be maximum age of 35 years on 31 December 2014. They must hold a master degree before the beginning of the fall semester: September, 2014. Application deadline is 28th February 2014.
Intermediate Fellowships for Developing Countries
Wellcome Trust is offering research fellowships in Public Health and Tropical Medicine. Fellows must be based primarily in a low- and middle-income country. The fellowships are awarded for up to five years and provide a basic salary which will be based on the pay scales of the employing institution or allowances. Preliminary application deadline is 25 April 2014 and full application deadline is 4 July 2014.
INSEAD MBA ’91 June Endowed Scholarship for Vietnamese Students
This scholarship for Vietnamese students is for pursuing Masters-MBA degree level. Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of financial need. The scholarship will cover €10,000. The application deadlines are 31 January 2014 and 28 April 2014.
ASEAN Undergraduate Scholarship for Vietnamese Students
This scholarship for Vietnamese students is available for pursuing undergraduate degree level at National University of Singapore (NUS). The scholarship covers tuition fees and provides an annual living allowance of S$5,800. The scholarship is tenable for the minimum period of candidature for the respective undergraduate courses at NUS. Application deadline is 21st February 2014.
Daewoo Scholarship for Vietnamese Students
Scholarship for Vietnamese students is available for graduate students (Master’s or doctoral) to pursue advanced degrees at George Washington University. Scholarship of up to $10,000 (fees excluded) for the period of one academic year will be awarded. The application deadline is 7 March 2014.
International Students House Residential Scholarships for Vietnamese Students
Scholarships for Vietnamese students are awarded for accommodation during the applicant’s study period in London. Preference will be given to postgraduate students who are studying a course that will provide skills to assist in the development of their home country. Scholarships provide free accommodation at ISH for up to a year and in exceptional circumstances up to three years. Applications should be submitted till May 31st 2014.
Netherlands Fellowship Programmes
NFP is offering fellowships for master’s, PhD and short courses. Applicants can apply for Master’s degree programmes and short courses in the application period of December 2013- February 2014. The fellowship is only intended for the duration of the course or programme. Applications will close on 4th February 2014.
ASEAN Masters Scholarships for Vietnamese Students
Scholarships for Vietnamese students are available for pursuing master’s degree including MRes level at University of Nottingham. Around 10 scholarships are offered. Scholarships are offered 25% towards the tuition fees. Applicants must not be currently studying at a University of Nottingham campus or are not a University of Nottingham graduate. Online application deadline is 23rd May 2014.
Innovative International Scholarships for Vietnamese Students
Scholarship for Vietnamese students is provided in the faculties of business, humanities, health sciences & science and engineering offered by Curtin University in Australia. This scholarship is available for pursuing undergraduate or postgraduate degree level. Applicants must meet Curtin University and course academic and english language entry requirements. Application should be submitted till February 2, 2014.
International Heritage Scholarship for Vietnamese Students
The scholarship for Vietnamese students is available for pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate Coursework degree level at Curtin University in Australia. This scholarship provides eligible students 25% of their first year tuition fee, up to a maximum of AUD$10,000. Application should be submitted till July 18, 2014.
International Climate Protection Fellowships
Federal Environment Ministry’s (BMU) is funding International Climate Protection Fellowships for Non European and developing countries’ applicants. Up to 20 International Climate Protection Fellowships are granted annually. Fellowships include a mobility lump sum and a contribution towards health and liability insurance. Online application will be submitted by 15 March 2014.
Georg Forster Research Fellowship (HERMES) for Developing CountriesThe Georg Forster Research Fellowship (HERMES) is awarded for postdoctoral researchers to conduct a self-selected, long-term research project (6-24 months) at a research institution in Germany. Applicants must have completed PhD or comparable academic degree for no more than four years the date of application. Applications may be submitted any time from 1.7.2013 until mid-2015.
International Space University MSc Scholarship for Vietnamese Students
Scholarship for Vietnamese is offered for pursuing master’s degree at International Space University. Scholarship is granted on the basis of academic and professional merit, financial need and demonstrated financial need. Applicants must have a Bachelor’s Degree or the equivalent, including 3 years of studies as a minimum, awarded by an accredited university. The deadline for applications is 15 March 2014.
Development Scholarships for Vietnamese Students
Scholarships for Vietnamese students are available for pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s degree level at Charles University. Students who are applying to study in one of the Bachelor’s studies or Master’s studies programmes at Faculty of Social Sciences from academic year 2014/15 can apply. The deadline for scholarship applications is 30th April 2014.
